Rev. Dr. Lucas de Paiva Pina
Rev. Dr. Lucas de Paiva PinaPastor
Rev. Dr. Lucas de Paiva Pina, pastor, author, and speaker, was born in Brazil, raised and converted in the Presbyterian Church of Brazil. He graduated from the Presbyterian Seminary of the South in 1979, and was ordained in 1980. He served many churches in Brazil; worked with Youth for Christ in Brazil, Portugal, and greater New York area. Here in US he worked with churches in New Jersey, Cincinnati, Toronto-OH, and in Canton, GA. In 2007 he finished his D.Min. at Columbia Theological Seminary. He was the Tri-Presbytery (Greater Atlanta, Cherokee, and Northeast Georgia) Immigrant Ministries Coordinator. He is married to Marta and they have two children and two grandsons in Brazil.
Rev. Ernest H. Flaniken

Ernest is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and a life-long Presbyterian Christian. Educated at Rhodes College (Memphis) and Union Presbyterian Seminary (Richmond, Va), he served four full time pastorates, the last of which was a 25 year pastorate at Cocoa Presbyterian Church (1966-1991). He has been married to Mary Louise for 64 years. They have one son, Robert, and one grandson, Mark and three great-grandchildren – Logan, Ryan and Lydia.

Monica Van Leeuwen
Monica Van LeeuwenBookkeeper
Monica began working for CPC in 2000. She has brought to this church 25 years of financial experience with non-profits and healthcare facilities. Monica attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where she acquired her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

She currently is employed full-time as the CFO for Coastal Health Systems of Brevard in Rockledge, Florida.

As a native born Canadian, Monica immigrated to the states in 1966. She has worked in the Brevard County community for the past 25 years. She is a volunteer throughout our community helping non-profits with fundraising events as well as different organizations within her own local Catholic Church.

Monica enjoys completing the financial tasks at Cocoa Presbyterian Church and stated, “I enjoy doing God’s work for other Christians in our community. Over the years, I have grown to love and admire all of the time, talents and expertise that others of CPC have devoted to this church.”

Terry has been a member of Cocoa Presbyterian for more than 20 years. She loves to help teach about Jesus in our Kids Church time which include her own grandchildren.
